Acid-base and sorption properties of amorphous titanium phosphate

Acid-base and sorption properties of amorphous titanium phosphate were studied. Three types of functional groups, H 2 PO 4 − , HPO 4 2− , and OH − , with p K 2.79, 5.13, and 11.2, respectively, were revealed by potentiometric titration. The sorption recovery of double-charged metal cations was studi...

Description
Summary:Acid-base and sorption properties of amorphous titanium phosphate were studied. Three types of functional groups, H 2 PO 4 − , HPO 4 2− , and OH − , with p K 2.79, 5.13, and 11.2, respectively, were revealed by potentiometric titration. The sorption recovery of double-charged metal cations was studied, and the selectivity series was found: Mg 2+ < Ca 2+ < Mn 2+ < Ni 2+ < Zn 2+ < Cu 2+ < Co 2+ .
