Synthesis and antibacterial activity of 4-aryl-2-hydroxy-4-oxo-2-butenoic (aroylpyruvic) acids N-(4-guanidylsulfonylphenyl)amides
Reaction of methyl aroylpyruvates with 4-aminobenzolsulfonylguanidine in acetic acid in the presence of anhydrous sodium acetate afforded N -(4-guanidylsulfonylphenyl)amides of 4-aryl-2-hydroxy-4-oxo-2-butenoic acids. Antibacterial activity of the synthesized compounds was studied.
