Synthesis and anticorrosion properties of N-arylnicotinamides and their derivatives: 3-(N-arylcarboxamido)-N-benzylpyridinium chlorides

N -Arylnicotinamides were synthesized by acylating of aniline, 1- and 2-naphthylamines by nicotinic acid chloride, then 3-( N -arylcarboxamido)- N -benzylpyridinium chlorides were obtained by their benzylation. The influence of the synthesized compounds on the corrosion of 08 kp steel in 3 M hydroch...

Description
Summary:N -Arylnicotinamides were synthesized by acylating of aniline, 1- and 2-naphthylamines by nicotinic acid chloride, then 3-( N -arylcarboxamido)- N -benzylpyridinium chlorides were obtained by their benzylation. The influence of the synthesized compounds on the corrosion of 08 kp steel in 3 M hydrochloric acid at 20–80°C was studied.
