Heterogeneous Fenton catalysts based on mesoporous silica gels prepared by drying in supercritical carbon dioxide
Iron-containing mesoporous silica gel samples were obtained using sol-gel synthesis followed by drying in supercritical carbon dioxide. A relationship between the conditions of preparation and the textural characteristics of the silica gels was established. The materials obtained are considered as p...

Summary: | Iron-containing mesoporous silica gel samples were obtained using sol-gel synthesis followed by drying in supercritical carbon dioxide. A relationship between the conditions of preparation and the textural characteristics of the silica gels was established. The materials obtained are considered as promising Fenton catalysts for the oxidation of organic substances in wasted water by hydrogen peroxide. |
