Description
Summary:The optical and electrophysical properties of a new nanoheterogeneous material prepared by mixing nanoparticles of p-type (Cu 2 S) and n-type (CdS) semiconductors are studied in this work. Different manners of mixing nanoparticles are used to obtain a material whose properties are most attractive for use in photovoltaics and photonics. The mixtures of the two types of nanoparticles show optical properties such as optical absorption and photoluminescence that are very different from those of separate components. A model explaining, in part, the features of the optical properties of the nanoparticle mixtures is suggested to describe the features of charge photogeneration in these nanoheterogeneous materials.
