Description
Summary:The properties of the Chester Lock P80 encapsulated anaerobic adhesive employed for the repair of threaded connections were experimentally studied. The microstructural analysis of the adhesive performed before the assembly of threaded connections, that is, before the destruction of capsules, made it possible to determine the size and form of capsules, as well as the uniformity of application. The microstructural analysis carried out after the assembly of threaded connections, that is, after the destruction of capsules, allowed the structure of adhesive after its release from capsules to be determined. The influence of storage conditions of fasteners with an applied layer of encapsulated adhesive on its mechanical characteristics is also considered.
