Interrelation between Performance Characteristics and Structure of the Heat-Affected Zones in Ferrite–Bainite Steels

This paper is focused on the study of changes in structure, impact work, and crack resistance in two sections of the simulated heat-affected zone of low-carbon low-alloy steel with a guaranteed yield strength of 420 MPa (coarse-grained and complete recrystallization sections). The various welding th...

Description
Summary:This paper is focused on the study of changes in structure, impact work, and crack resistance in two sections of the simulated heat-affected zone of low-carbon low-alloy steel with a guaranteed yield strength of 420 MPa (coarse-grained and complete recrystallization sections). The various welding thermal cycles have been simulated with the Gleeble 3800 complex.
