Summary: | We investigate time-dependent tunneling of wave packets through double-barrier structures by taking into account that the effective mass of electrons in the barriers is different from that in the well. Time-dependent Schrödinger's equation, using effective mass approximation, is solved numerically. We show that the dynamics of resonant tunneling are significantly influenced by the effective mass in the barriers. |
