Photoluminescence of Eu 2+ and Eu 3+ Centers in CaS:Eu,Na Phosphors
Photoluminescence and excitation spectra, luminescence decay curves, and time-resolved photoluminescence spectra are observed for CaS:Eu,Na powder phosphors at various temperatures between 10 and 297 K. The detailed spectra of the Eu 3+ center in CaS are observed for the first time. The emission lin...

Summary: | Photoluminescence and excitation spectra, luminescence decay curves, and time-resolved photoluminescence spectra are observed for CaS:Eu,Na powder phosphors at various temperatures between 10 and 297 K. The detailed spectra of the Eu
3+
center in CaS are observed for the first time. The emission lines due to the Eu
3+
center are classified into two groups originating from centers A and B. The A center is attributed to the isolated Eu
3+
center, whereas the B center, to the paired Eu
3+
-Eu
2+
center. |
