A New Metallic Langmuir-Blodgett Film Formed with BO 2 -(MeO) 2 TCNQ, where BO is Bisethylenedioxytetrathiafulvalene and (MeO) 2 TCNQ is Dimethoxytetracyanoquinodimethane
Based on the unique nature of bisethylenedioxytetrathiafulvalene (BO), a stable, highly conductive Langmuir-Blodgett film was developed using a charge-transfer (CT) complex of BO and dimethoxytetracyanoquinodimethane ((MeO) 2 TCNQ). A clear negative temperature-derivative of the conductivity was obs...

TCNQ). A clear negative temperature-derivative of the conductivity was observed down to 180 K, indicating the establishment of the macroscopic metallic conduction. The paramagnetic spin susceptibility indicates that the metallic phase is retained down to 50 K and the CT complex molecules are highly oriented in the stacking direction. |
