Summary: | Enhanced electroluminescence from europium (Eu) complex has been observed utilizing single, or multiple quantum–well structures consisting of a Eu complex well layer sandwiched between azomethin–zinc complex layers. Sharp emission at 614 nm has been observed from the Eu complex in the quantum-well structure. The thinner the well layer of the Eu complex, the stronger the emission intensity from it, under the same injection current. The mechanism of enhanced emission from the quantum-well structure has been discussed. |
