substrate using strain-induced polarization mode coupling. Polarization conversion in excess of 82% was achieved at a wavelength of 701.39 nm for both transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) input polarizations. The maximum conversion efficiency is highly wavelength selective with a spectral width of 1.45 nm in a 3.2 mm long device. Electro-optic tuning of the center wavelength with a linear tuning rate of 0.029 nm/V was demonstrated. |
