Summary: | The moderation efficiency and energy distribution of reemitted positrons from W foil, W mesh and powders were investigated. The energy distribution of the reemitted positrons from the W mesh moderator became broader than that of W foil moderator. The moderation efficiency of the W mesh moderator increased when W powders were coated on the wires of the mesh. The moderation by the other powders, such as SiC whiskers, diamond and HfC, was also investigated and positron work functions were determined. |
