Description
Summary:For solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems operating with practical fuels, it is important to simulate the distribution of sulfur poisoning and its dependence on the operating conditions in planar-type SOFCs. In this paper, by taking into account the sulfur poisoning effect and its distribution in planar-type SOFC simulation, numerical analysis is performed using anode exchange current density data and Temkin-like sulfur adsorption isotherm on Ni surface. From this numerical analysis, it is found that the distribution of current density after sulfur poisoning is changed, depending on operating temperature and fuel utilization.
