(Digital Presentation) Influence of Pulse Electrolytic Conditions on Deposition Morphology of Electrolytic Aluminum Foil Using Chloroaluminate Ionic Liquids
We have investigated the influence of additive agent on the deposition morphology of the electrolytic Al foils using the AlCl 3 –1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (EMIC) (molar ratio 2 : 1) bath. The electrolytic Al foils were prepared by the pulse electrolysis. The morphology and the surface rou...

–1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (EMIC) (molar ratio 2 : 1) bath. The electrolytic Al foils were prepared by the pulse electrolysis. The morphology and the surface roughness of the electrolytic Al foils were characterized by FE-SEM, AFM, and XRD. The surface roughness and the crystallite size of the electrolytic Al foils were decreased by increasing the pulse frequency and the addition of 1,10-phenanthroline (OP). It was found that the OP addition had more greatly influence on the surface roughness of the electrolytic Al foil than the pulse frequency. |
