Summary: | TiO2 nanoparticles have been synthesized in three phases in pure form, using amorphous TiO2 as a base material. Porous, nanostructured films were prepared using the doctor-blading method from a TiO2 suspension. After heating at 450 åC to remove the polymer, the films were sensitized with the dye N-719. Solar cells were prepared using a method of assembly designed to avoid evaporation of the solvent and the entrance of water and oxygen, and the efficiency of the solar cells was determined. The influence of the TiO2 structure on the solar cell performance is discussed. |
