Summary: | The incorporation of nanostructured materials in biosensors is capable of optimizing the enzyme immobilization and can turn the transduction of the chemical signal more efficient. Lyotropic liquid crystalline phases and colloidal polystyrene particles have been used as templates in order to prepare a nanostructured hybrid copper hexacyanoferrate/polypyrrole (CuHCNFe/Ppy) mediator. The nanostructured material has achieved sensitivities 4.3 times higher than the bulk film during H2O2 detection. Besides, the methods are interesting because allow the deposition of a range of compounds with high surface area and thin pore walls. |
