Description
Summary:In the present study, humidifying dependence was examined at 85{degree sign}C in the cell temperature to improve MEA to which high water retentiveness was applied in the catalytic layer. The improved MEA showed higher cell voltage from the low humidifying temperature to the saturated temperature condition within all ranges compared with the previous MEA. Moreover, it successfully reduced the decreasing rate of the effective surface area of the cathode catalyst in the electrode. A 1 kW class stack to which an improved MEA, a Lossnay humidifier, and a separator plate were applied showed good performance.
