Pantoprazol as Inhibitor of API 5L X52 Steal Corrosion in HCl 1M

In this paper the study of increasing concentrations of the organic compound as a drug pantoprazole and its corresponding active substance on the inhibition of corrosion of steel API 5L X52 1M HCL exposed in using the technique of electrochemical impedance (EIS). The impedance diagrams show a contin...

description In this paper the study of increasing concentrations of the organic compound as a drug pantoprazole and its corresponding active substance on the inhibition of corrosion of steel API 5L X52 1M HCL exposed in using the technique of electrochemical impedance (EIS). The impedance diagrams show a continuous increase in the value of | Z | as it increases the amount of inhibitor in the solution. At a concentration of 20 ppm of the drug inhibited by 92% and 78% active substance reaching the maximum efficiency at 100 ppm 97 and 85% respectively. Admenas thermodynamic analysis of Gibbs free energy is -6.40 kcal / mol indicating that it performs a physisorption process.
