Summary: | The electrochemical determination of the pesticide Tetradifon (TDF) on glassy carbon electrode can be proposed as a faster and cheaper alternative compared to chromatographic methods commonly used in this analysis. The methodology was developed based on the measurement of electrical currents generated by redox processes of the analyte dispersed in a supporting electrolyte solution composed of a mixture of 40% dimethylformamide (DMF), 30% methanol, and 30% NaOH 0.3 mol L-1. Two electroanalytical techniques were employed: the cyclic voltammetry for qualitative studies of the redox processes of the compound and the differential pulse voltammetry that enabled the determination of TDF independently of the presence of a vegetable matrix, specifically Brazilian green bell pepper, culture in which the pesticide is widely used. |
