Summary:The lobster Scyllaras chacei Holthuis, 1960, a species of the family Scyllaridae Latreille, subfamily Scyllarinae Latreille, is reported for the first time from the continental shelf of Amapà State, Brazil. The female specimen was collected on September 31, 2010, at 72 m depth in the shrimp fishing zone of Amapà State (03°53'N 50°19'W), on a muddy bottom. The present record extends the geographic range known for this species in Brazil to the North. A lagosta Scyllarus chacei Holthuis, 1960, pertencente à família Scyllaridae Latreille, subfamília Scyllarinae Latreille, é relatada pela primeira vez na plataforma continental do Estado de Amapá, Brasil. O espécime, uma fêmea, foi coletado em 31 de setembro de 2010, a 72 m de profundidade, na zona de pesca de camarao, no estado do Amapá (03°53'N 50°19'W), em fundo de lama. O atual registro amplia o conhecimento da àrea de ocorrência dessa espécie no Norte do Brasil.
