Description
Summary:Radiation and scattering characteristics of a novel circularly polarized (CP) slot antenna are theoretically and experimentally studied. The finite difference time-domain and finite element method are employed for simulation. Simulated and measured results show that the 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of the proposed antenna can reach 57.1% at 2.45 GHz while the 10-dB impendence bandwidth can do 64.5% at 2.2 GHz. Monostatic radar cross section (RCS) of the proposed antenna terminated with different kinds of loads is studied in both the frequency-domain and time-domain. The differences between structural and antenna modes are confirmed in the time-domain.
