Description
Summary:This article treats the philosophical writings of Nikolai Vasilievich Bugaev. Known best as a mathematician, father of Andrey Bely, and teacher of Pavel Florensky, Bugaev also wrote philosophical articles treating the arrangement of human knowledge and intellectual activity and the structure of being and consciousness. An examination of Bugaev's philosophical work sheds light not only on these questions, but also on the peculiar character of "background" figures and works in intellectual history.
