Description
Summary:The goal of this work is to investigate the effects of thermal radiation on MHD hybrid nanofluid flow over a stretching cylinder immersed in a porous medium. The mathematical model of the physical problem is provided and the resulting governing equations are transformed into the system of non-linear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformation and it is solved numerically by the fourth-order Runge Kutta method combined with the shooting approach using the MATLAB software. The physical impacts of volume fraction, porosity parameter, Forchheimer number, magnetic field, wall temperature parameter, and radiation factor on the hybrid nanofluid flow are interpreted by graphs and tables. Moreover, the skin friction and heat transfer rate of the engineered fluid are discussed. In addition, the current work is in good accord with past studies. It is observed that the volume concentration of Cu gradually dominates the flow field, causing the skin friction and heat transfer rate to be reduced. Also, it is found that the skin friction coefficient and heat transfer rate are enhanced by the increase in Darcy and Farchheimer numbers.
