Description
Summary:The concurrent validity of the K-ABC Nonverbal Scale as a measure of intelligence among speech- and language-impaired preschool children was investigated. K-ABC performance was compared for 30 speech- and language-impaired preschoolers with performance on the Pictorial Test of Intelligence (PTI) and the Hiskey-Nebraska Test of Learning Aptitude (HNTLA). Overall scores on the three measures were significantly correlated, with nonsignificant differences among correlations. Significant differences were found among the mean standard scores; the K-ABC Nonverbal Scale produced the lowest mean score. Implications are discussed.
