This article outlines the clinical factors which should be considered when managing capsular contracture. This article offers the most comprehensive review to date of surgical and nonsurgical management of capsular contracture. The goal of treatment is to prevent recurrence of capsular contracture, minimize risk to the patient, and obtain esthetic results.
