Description
Summary:Cyclization reaction between carbazole-dibromide and chiral primary amine affords optically active partially overlapped and fully overlapped carbazolophanes, which are separated by standard experimental procedures. Chiroptical properties of carbazolophane derivatives have been investigated by circular dichroism and circularly polarized luminescence spectra. Luminescence dissymmetry factor (|glum|) values of partially overlapped carbazolophanes are 9 × 10−3, which are as large as small organic molecules.
