Summary:We present a genome assembly from an individual female Atherix ibis (the Yellow-legged Water-snipefly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Athericidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 670.40 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 5 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.77 kilobases in length.
