Description
Summary:With the aim to ascertain the possibility of diffusion of fenoxycarb in the agro-ecosystem, investigations were done in a greenhouse of about 40 m 3 in which two-year-old mulberry plants were growing. A water solution of the commercial product Insegar (2.0 gl −1 ) was poured in Petri dishes for a total area of 6,104 cm 2 . The air inside the greenhouse was collected by a suction pump when 1/3 of the solution evaporated. It contained 3.56μg m −3 of fenoxycarb. As soon as the solution evaporated completely, the mulberry leaves were collected and washed with water. This water contained 390μg of fenoxycarb kg −1 of leaves. The leaves, dried in the shade and analyzed 15 months after collection, contained 13μg kg −1 of fenoxycarb.
