Summary: | A high molecular weight aliphatic polyester was synthesized by the polycondensation reaction by using the dimethyl succinate and diols. The biodegradation of the aliphatic polyester was systematically estimated by the hydrolysis using lipase (Rhizopus delemar). We examined the relation between the physical properties and the enzymatic hydrolysis of the synthesized aliphatic polyester by using the dimethyl succinate and several diols. The results suggested that the enzymatic hydrolysis of the aliphatic polyester is strongly related to the enthalpy of melting (ΔHm). |
