Summary: | The sequence distributions of several poly (vinyl ester) s were estimated by the Monte Carlo method using random numbers with drand 48 in the UNIX system on the basis of isotactic parameters obtained by homo-polymerizations. The ratios of r/m, rr/rnm and rrrr/mmmm of poly (vinyl propionate) (PVPr), poly (vinyl butylate) (PVBu) and poly (vinyl decanoate) (PVD) were in good agreement with those determined by 1H- or 13C NMR spectroscopy. In the case of poly (vinyl isobutylate) (PViBu) and poly (vinyl pivalate) (PVP), the results of simulation by taking into account a penultimate effect were in good agreement with those of experiment. Although in the case of low Pn, each polymer has different sequence distribution, in the case of high Pn, each polymer has almost the same sequence distribution, and we could visualize the probable sequence distribution. |
