Summary: | The Library at California State University, Sacramento recently undertook a broad assessment of periodicals services, which extended from bibliographical control to physical access, in order to identify potential improvements. A Task Force carried through the assessment process which involved seeking input from the entire library community. This article describes the process undertaken to identify periodicals services concerns, to find solutions, and to decide what changes to implement and to whom responsibility for making the changes is delegated within the Library. An appended chart describes the problems identified and shows the solutions the Task Force devised. How the products of the assessment will be evaluated is also described. |
