Summary: | This article outlines the results of a Fulbright Alumni Initiatives Award 2005–8, which provided resources and support for an international school police officer exchange programme between officers in the United States and the United Kingdom. This multi-year exchange programme had several outcomes including exchange opportunities for 11 officers from London and Colorado; the development of a school/community safety curriculum; international collaborative school safety research project planning and implementation; and programme dissemination opportunities. Extensive knowledge and idea sharing resulted from this exchange programme and current as well as future school policing programmes around the world can benefit from the details outlined in this case study. |
