Description
Summary:This study investigates the effect of an inductance model on the sensorless control performance of a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM). A high-frequency voltage injection method based on the position dependence of the inductance and an extended electromotive force estimation method based on the motor model are applied to achieve sensorless control. More specifically, the inductances are modeled in several patterns and applied to the two methods. Subsequently, the characteristics in the steady and transient states are compared. Moreover, the effect of the inductance model on the sensorless control performance of a SynRM with magnetic saturation is investigated by comparing the characteristics in the full-speed region under the combination of the two methods.
