Summary:Although the title suggests a general text-book on allergy, this volume is something quite different. It consists of 63 separate articles in the field of allergy written by 59 authors, each covering a particular phase of the subject. All but two of these appeared in recent years in a series on allergy for the New York State Journal of Medicine, of which Dr. Prigal is Associate Editor. The work was sponsored by the New York Allergy Society, of which almost all the authors are members.
