Description
Summary:The "Model Act Providing for Consent of Minors for Health Services" proposed by the Committee on Youth of the American Academy of Pediatrics and published in Pediatrics in February 1973 (Vol. 51, No. 2, pp. 293-296), has been considered at length by the members of the Committee on Legislation Concerning Adolescents' Medical Care of the Society for Adolescent Medicine. We consider that the proposed AAP Model Act is unwieldly: it is too long and in places ambiguous.
