Summary:The article discusses issues related to the development of new compositions of thermoplastic polymer coatings. To obtain a thermoplastic coating, polymer powder paint of two original compositions was used. The paint was applied to metal samples, which were tested. Such properties of coatings as water absorption, resistance to static action of chemical media, flexural strength of the coating, Shore hardness, adhesion and electrical resistance were studied. Based on the results of the experiments, it can be stated that the thermoplastic polyethylene coating of compositions 1 and 2 has high chemical resistance to corrosive environments, weather resistance, physical, mechanical and dielectric properties.
