Summary:The article examines the role of digital technologies in the current period of industrial development and the transition to Industry 4.0 (the 4th Industrial Revolution), and specifically the use of virtual simulators for training qualified personnel in the field of industrial safety at oil and gas facilities.The practice of using virtual simulators for occupational safety specialists is not yet widespread. The developed virtual simulators can simulate several types of production activities, such as working at height during the repair of a storage tank for oil products, working with lifting mechanisms and welding, and also provide an opportunity for feedback to improve the skills and knowledge of workers supervising and monitoring compliance with safety requirements in production.
