Summary: | — By using a single‐lens digital camera with an attached 180° fisheye lens, the incident light at the surface of a mobile display in 112 different environments, including outdoor and indoor environments and inside an automobile, were measured. The data were analyzed for some typical environments in which mobile displays are used. The results of this research can be used in the design of reflective and transflective LCDs, making maximum use of ambient light. |
