Summary: | A conventional single gap transflective fringe‐field switching display has a difficulty in fabricating a reflector with embossing. To solve this problem, we propose a new structure which has the reflector on the color filter side, without deteriorating reflectance and transmittance. and this single gap transflective LCDs has a problem such that the voltage‐dependent transmittance and reflectance curves do not match each other and thus a dual driving circuit is required. New FFS electrode structure which optimized an angle of the electrode in the transmissive and reflective area solves this problem so that the transflective display with a single gamma curve and for reflective and transmissive region is possible. |
