DIFFERENTIAL PULSE POLAROGRAPHIC EVALUATION OF ALUMINUM IN RENAL INSUFFICIENCY

This work presents several differential pulse polarographic-based methods for the determination of total soluble aluminum in hemodialysis water and post-hemodialysis dialysate. Mineralization was used to overcome the organic matter interference. Samples were also analyzed by graphite furnace atomic...

Description
Summary:This work presents several differential pulse polarographic-based methods for the determination of total soluble aluminum in hemodialysis water and post-hemodialysis dialysate. Mineralization was used to overcome the organic matter interference. Samples were also analyzed by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Correlation between the electrochemical (Y) and the spectroscopic (X) Al was excellent: Y 0.981X-0.944, r=0.991.
