Summary:The flexible manufacturing system (FMS) is a type of system which consists of several integrated parts, a computer control system and an automated numerical control system to increase the flexibility of industrial processes. Automation and Industry 4.0 are key parameters for the future and FMS is a step in the right direction to achieve due to its capabilities, capacity and advantages. To stay competitive, there is a constant demand for greater output and manufacturing quality, as well as an urgent need to improve overall manufacturing system efficiency.
