description In this study, the answers to the questions of who are our literati, whose main profession is medicine, from the Tanzimat to the present, what and how the medical faculty students, who are doctor candidates, associate the concept of literature with the concept of literature, and who are the writers and poets for them were sought. In the study, in which the qualitative research approach was adopted, document analysis and phenomenology methods were used, and the data were analyzed by content analysis method. The study group consists of 50 doctor candidates studying in medical faculties of different universities.
