Description
Summary:Procedures are given for preserving, storing, cleaning and mounting calcareous Bryozoa on slides. Potassium hypochlorite digestion is preferred to incineration for cleaning because heated specimens eventually deteriorate. White glue is used instead of balsam to fix colonies to slides because balsam weakens with time. Ink or food coloring applied to dry specimens increases contrast.
