Summary: | Circuit diagram and construction details are given for a small selfcontained recording instrument used to study burrow-use patterns of mountain beavers. This recorder, which could be used to study the activities of a variety of burrow-dwelling animals, contains a resistor-capacitor unit operated by a 30-v battery that minimizes the recording of spurious counts. The technique of using the counter in a mountain beaver burrow is described. |
