A Red Fox--Striped Skunk Encounter
Results of an encounter between a red fox (Vulpes vulpes) and five radio-marked striped skunks (Mephitis mephitis) are described. The data suggest that the distance traveled by skunks while searching for a den is inversely proportional to the number of dens previously utilized.
