Summary: | Tetraplasandra flynnii is described from Kaua'i, Hawaiian Islands. It resembles the more widespread T. kavaiensis, but is restricted to a single known population now comprising only three individuals growing in mesic to wet forest that is increasingly impacted by introduced goats and aggressive non-native plant species. Material has been propagated for ex situ conservation, but effective management will be required to ensure the continued survival of the wild population. |
