Description
Summary:This article presents a study conducted in 2002, which examined messages not sent to the listserv jESSE, an electronic discussion list for library and information science education. It also presents an update from 2004, which demonstrates that the onslaught of spam electronic mail prohibits further analysis of these kinds of messages. It also documents the increase in total spam mail traffic to the list, from 13 % to 75 % of all messages received for the list.
