Description
Summary:This study investigated the factor structure of the 12-item Faith Maturity Scale and the association of Protestant Faith Maturity and Doctrinal Orthodoxy. The sample was taken from 207 urban evangelical church members in southern California. Analysis indicated the Faith Maturity Scale incorporates two factors and Faith Maturity has a weak, positive association with Doctrinal Orthodoxy as tapped by the Christian Doctrinal Orthodoxy Scale. Protestant faith maturity seems to be more independent of doctrinal orthodoxy than generally thought.
