Constitutive relations for a rubber cord under three-dimensional stress states

The transverse modulus of a rubber cord is experimentally determined. It is shown that, in the framework of the effective layer model, it is problematic to find both the bending stiffness and the lateral compression stiffness with equal adequacy.
